Have a lot to donate?

We accept items by drop-off locations, shipping, curb-side service, and through wardrobe drives.

If you have a large amount of donations of 30 pieces or more, we highly recommend our curbside drop-off service- hosted every 4th Saturday in downtown Oakland from 10 am – 12 pm (except in November and December). 

You can also contact our Merchandise Manager & Buyer to arrange a drop-off appointment for the Oakland or Concord boutique.

The next curbside drop-off is Saturday, August 28 in front of our Oakland office at 570 14th Street in Downtown Oakland.  Thank you to Future Women Leaders for sponsoring the August Curbside Service and its members for volunteering their time.  A flyer for the event can be downloaded here.

Unfortunately, due to limited resources, we cannot offer pick-up services.

Donation Requirements

In additional to professional development training, WFO works in partnership with our community to provide professional wardrobes to our clients through our Professional Image Program. 

Please keep the following in mind when organizing your clothing to donate:

• Does your item help to set someone up for success on the interview or for a job?
• Can this item be worn by another person right away?
• Will someone feel more confident when wearing this?

Please help us focus our resources by donating only items that are undamaged, clean, dry-cleaned, or ironed and on hangers (if clothing item). This ensures that it will arrive at our shop in premium condition with minimum wrinkles. If your donations have tears in the lining, broken zippers, and/or missing buttons please have them fix prior to donating to us or clearly indicate the spot where repairs need to be made.

Suit and Accessory Drives

We appreciate the many suit drives that are conducted on our behalf. If you are interested in hosting a suit or accessories drive, please contact our Merchandise Manager & Buyer prior to your event to ensure that we have room for your donations and so we can ensure that you are collecting the items that we need. We also have materials that will make it easy for you to coordinate a successful drive. Accessory drives for jewelry, handbags, or coats are a terrific option too!
