Program Intern
As a program intern, this person will assist the Program Specialist in efforts to connect community organization to WFO’s service. Duties include researching local community services agencies, learning about their services and client populations, and collecting contact names of decision makers and managers. This role has a time commitment of 3 hour per week over three months.
Merchandising Intern
As a merchandising intern, this person will assist the Professional Image Program Coordinator in her efforts to streamline the merchandising process. Duties include inventory analysis and pre-screening of merchandise, volunteer assistance during sorting, categorizing merchandise for floor and sale, taking product images and posting for ecommerce, sizing and measuring, and maintaining floor and stock area. Also assist with other special projects as necessary. The majority of time spent in this position will be assisting with the inventory process. This role has a time commitment of 8 hours a week for three months, completed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Marketing Intern
As a marketing intern, this person will assist in making connections with Oakland-based businesses and professionals, including calls and meetings. He or she will participate in marketing blitzes with local organizations and help coordinate and assemble fundraising mailings. He or she will also assist with special event planning and execution, provide support to program staff on special projects and initiatives, and enter and edit data in database (SalesForce). This role has a three month commitment of 15-20 hours a week.
